Julia (she/her/hers) joined the lab in the summer of 2022 through the PsychSummer program, in which she researched quantitative methods of modeling psychological dynamics. She is interested in conducting further research in the areas of quantitative & computational psychology, affective science, and cognitive science. Julia grew up in the Chicago area and enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with her two dogs.

Developmental Change in Infants’ Emotion Regulation Readiness and Regulation Proclivity; Tracking Divergence of Well-Being across Time; and Change in Affect as Individuals Move Through Physical and Digital Green Space in Everyday Life.
A psychological dynamic is a conceptualization of psychological activity that includes a psychological state and the perturbation of that state by some dynamic. I studied psychological dynamics by quantitatively operationalizing and modeling them as follows:
